踏入2007年的你，對自己或我們這個居住的世界許下了什麼願望呢？
　　今年蕃茄小屋特邀請了幾位國外的素食朋友與小屋的作者，請他們說說對2007年的祈願，並且刊登在此與大家分享與共勉，祈願大家心想事成，事事圓滿！

　The last months of 2006 brought us very uplifting news, namely the health benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle were praised frequently in the
international press and furthermore great attention was drawn to smart
veggies : 'High IQ link to being vegetarian'. However, the biggest surprise was the FAO press release, dated 29 November 2006, finally admitting a well-known fact: 'Livestock major threat to environment '.

For 2007 I wish that this influx of scientists and organizations speaking
out for vegetarianism is going to continue and that the benefits of our
compassionate lifestyle are becoming a hot topic of discussion everywhere.

2006年的最後幾個月帶給我們幾則振奮人心的新聞，即，素食對健康的益處多次的被國際性的媒體所稱同，而且”高智商孩童多成素食者”的研究報告也引起許多人的高度注意。不過，最大的驚喜是聯合國食品農業組織(FAO)在11月29日所發表的新聞稿中終於承認一個眾所周知的事實：” 家畜業是環境最大的威脅來源”。

在2007年，我希望科學家與研究組織出面為素食主義講話的情形能夠繼續，而且素食者慈悲的生活方式所帶來的益處能夠在各地成為一熱門的話題。
